Service and Sacrifice Exhibition

Wednesday, 13 August, 2014In conjunction with Tin Palace, Lyttelton Museum is pleased to present Service and Sacrifice, which is our first exhibition since our building was demolished in July 2011.
The exhibition contrasts three different stories of Lyttelton men and women who heeded the Empire’s call for service in World War One.
Come and meet Lance Corporal Bertie Huon Victor Harkess, Sister Nona Hildyard, and Bombardier Walter David Lester.
