On 8 August 2015 a New Zealand Commemorative service will be held on Chunuk Bair at Gallipoli. This service will mark the centenary of the Battle for Chunuk Bair, New Zealand’s most significant action in the Gallipoli Campaign.
This commemorative service will not be balloted, and anyone who wishes to attend can do so.

Gallipoli: The Scale of War opened at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa opened on 18 April 2015. Among the objects on display is a Turkish bugle picked up from the battlefield by Percival Fenwick.
The Press building has put together an exhibition of First World War photographs at their Gloucester Street site. The images come from a collection of around 1500 glass plate negatives that were presented to the National Library in the 1940s and have just been digitised. It’s well worth a look, if you get the chance, and is on Monday-Friday, 9am-4.30pm.
In the lead up to commemorating ANZAC Day 2015, staff from the Christchurch City Libraries have developed 'The New Brighton Boys ' display.

Heritage New Zealand is excited to offer a tour visiting a number of World War I country memorials in the Waimakariri District, Canterbury. 2015 is the centenary of the ANZAC landings on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey. So why not get a head start on Anzac Day this year by exploring how local communities in Kaiapoi, Oxford, Cust, Birch Hill Station, and Rangiora chose to remember their lost men?

As part of a national project being organised by the Fields of Remembrance Trust the Timaru WWOne Centenary Committee are producing 1,500 white crosses.
The crosses represent every man and woman from the region who died in the First World War.
The crosses will be on display in various sites throughout South Canterbury when they are completed and will be a major feature in Anzac Day commemorations in South Canterbury.
There will be 100 riders for the 100 year anniversary of the Gallipoli landings. 52 of these riders will be dressed in full military uniform representing the 52 soldiers from this area who didn't return home.
Friday 24th April 2015 - Day 1 - Will see us all assembled near "The Peaks Hall" for an introduction, run through with the organisers re: rider placement, formation etc. Riders, support crew and horses will stay over night in their own tents / horse floats etc. All food will be provided for them. There will be more info provided on this once we have our rider numbers.
